OYA, in collaboration with Business Club Africa, launched its Business Club for Young Entrepreneurs on February 4, 2022 to offer opportunities to young business owners to deepen their networks and access new markets / business opportunities, while benefiting from a range of capacity-building events.
56 young agripreneurs (30% women) were offered a one-year membership to this exclusive club that connects them to more than 6,000 decision-makers from Africa and worldwide, providing access to a unique market place to promote their products and services.
OYA Business Club for Young entrepreneurs partners with different private institutions to offer its members a range of exclusive benefits:
- The European Business University (EBU) provides online certifying business courses at highly discount price
- Halcyon’s 4 Fellowship programs provide incubation opportunities at the international level
- Guzakuza launched a call for applications for their incubation program Ignite targeting women agripreneurs in Africa
- Investisseurs et Partenaires launched a call for applications for an acceleration program (Social & Inclusive Business Camp) targeting entrepreneurs having a positive impact in Africa
- AfriLabs launched a call for application for the YouthAdapt Challenge for MSMEs in Africa to submit innovative solutions and business ideas that can drive climate change adaptation and resilience across the Continent.
- Leaders League organizes the Africa Investment Forum & Awards (AIFA), a business hub on the Africa-Europe market in February 2023, at discount price for members
Moreover, in 2022, members were regularly informed on opportunities in their respective sectors. They also participated in organized speed networking events to facilitate exchange and contact between entrepreneurs, and between entrepreneurs and investors. They were also invited to all events and masterclasses organized by Business Club Africa. This enabled agripreneurs to meet potential buyers and investors to generate concrete business opportunities, as well as integrate into the national, sub-regional, continental and international value chains.
